Alongside landscapes, horses are the love of Sarah's life. Hear how a St George's Day arrival led to seven sleepless nights which jeopardised her Chelsea preparations and left her on the edge of exhaustion.

And then there was light . . .
Well, I thought it was a good idea and luckily so did everyone else I spoke to except those elusive sponsors! Never had I imagined that engaging a sponsor could be so difficult, but I tried hard to remain enthusiastic throughout my challenging journey. However, the millennium came and went and so did my momentum.
It was through Norman Tree, a talented contemporary architect and the help of the European Space Agency and the British Science Museum that my idea really began to spring back into life.
Through Norman’s efforts we were invited over to Holland, to the ESA to discuss the project – I began to wonder what sort of bribe Norman was offering! We were greeted by a clutch of top ESA scientists who were eager to hear the idea.
Doug Millard, Space Curator at the British Science Museum, also proved to be a great sounding board, enthusiastic in discussing possibilities and allowing me to throw creative concepts and possibilities into the scientific melting pot. Above all I was given the confidence to see this project, not as a compromise between art and science, but as a true representation of human endeavour.
