Look busy, lads

Just one day after the May Day Bank Holiday break and it's time to look busy.

The sponsors' representatives are here and checking on progress.  Fortunately, we've got all the walls up and the nap station in situ using all the wonderful product they've created especially for my garden.

I've got to be honest, it really showcases their work beautifully.  I only hope they're as delighted with it as I am.

Certainly, the RHS Shows Organiser Bob Sweet seems to share my view.  He's just been on the garden sitting on the steps of the pod raving about the materials in an interview.  Even with it blowing a howling gale and two weeks til the judges arrive to put us through our paces, it's beginning to take shape as I envisaged it all those years ago - and I'm struggling to contain my excitement.

No sooner has Bob gone than we get word from the security gate that our first consignment of plants has arrived.  Fairly soon, it might start to resemble an actual garden . . . rather than a building site.

But the truck is stuck at the top end of Main Avenue and unable to get down to us while others unload the building blocks of their weird and wonderful creations.

Nothing to do but remain patient and keep calm.
